This one is just finished in all it's fluorescent glory.. I haven't even editioned it yet, but it came out great, Thanks Steve. This will be available first at the show on Halloween.

Update: Awesome show. The posters sold out before the first band went on the second night so I got to really see the show. The band was great, rockin psychedelic plus a pedal steel guitar.
A very nice little book, very nicely printed and thick with art of the rock. Fun party, too. Nice that it was just a few blocks from home, as well. My beastieboys poster is in there somewhere. : )
"From the coauthor of the smash success Art of Modern Rock comes its impish sibling, a compact volume of dynamic rock posters. Filled with classic hits from the original volume plus loads of new material, Art of Modern Rock Mini #1: A Z is reformatted into a witty, giftable alphabet-book package. From "Anarchy" to "Zombie," all the key poster tropes and genres are covered. Designed for rock fans, art and design aficionados, and poster collectors alike, this mini spin-off is perfectly poised to reach legions of young (and young at heart) fans and new enthusiasts for the most enduring visual artifact and collectible of current music the rock poster."
Once again this year the TRPS folks put on an excellent Hall of Flowers show. Dealers were showing so many of the old rare posters that they didn't seem rare anymore. And there were quite a few artists from the present and from that era.
Cool to see Mr Seabury again - booth neighbor, and it was cool to see lots of nor cal poster peoples and peoples.
I forgot the camera. TRPS took pics, I'll snake one if I can.

First Annual Treasure Island Music Festival ||| Sept 15 & 16
This was a pretty cool event. Lots of great music both days and they scheduled it so that the music alternated between the 2 stages so there was always someone on and no overlap. I had a booth both days all day.
Here's a nice couple mesmerized by 1950s 3-d technology revisited as the screen printed gigposter poster. (newsreel voice)
This festival was a lot of fun.. I wonder if I was a carny in a past life.
This event was MASSIVE.. I'm still recovering from it. There was a constant flow of people at our booth from the time we finished set up until dusk. John Seabury and I shared the booth/tent and there were so many people that it was never slow enough for either of us to get away long enough to stand in the lines to get food! We were rescued with bagels and fruit by the folks at trps.
In the late afternoon I heard the official 2b1 booth was selling out of this poster and I sold a lot of them too, so I'm pretty happy people seemed to dig it. I was very influenced by the old posters as I was coming up so it's cool to get an opportunity to give tribute to the genre.
Below is a cobbled together panorama of the view from our booth. The stage was way off to the left, food and more vendors to the right.
Some drying carnivalized skeleton mono prints for the Summer of Love and Treasure Island Noise Pop events that are coming up. It was a beautiful evening here. I was on the roof of the building spray painting fluorsecent backgrounds using a cut-out print for a stencil.
Melvins, Flipper, Big Business, Porn 14 Dec 06 The Garage, Glasgow 'lyrics: Flipper from a WWI Soldiers Poem' 24.25x12.75″ 3 color Screen Print on French Old Green s/n edition of 125 available $25
The Melvins, one of my favorite bands, have long called the legendary punk band Flipper one of their favorite bands, so this poster was is a nod to that sentiment. It has the lyrics to 'Sacrifice', the famous Flipper anti-war song often covered by the Melvins.
Here's a video of the Melvins performing Sacrifice live at this very show! in Glasgow ...
