The Dandy Warhols 3-D

The Dandy Warhols, Elephone, Andrey Sessions
In San Francisco at Mezzanine during Noisepop March 2 2007
18x24″ 5 color Screen Print on French paper
s/n edition of 150
anaglyphic 3-d (glasses included)
All gone

I love 3-d stuff. I have a bunch of antique view masters... so when I saw The Dandy Warhols website was in 3-d, I wanted to try making the poster likewise..

The cover of odditorium reminded me of a photo from a New Orleans trip, the background room in the poster.

Here's a weird squished flip through of the posters final photoshop layers followed by the 5 color seperations going down same as it was screen printed. This poster is anaglyphic red/blue 3d (the mov is red right eye, poster is the more standard red=left). The 2-d photo is from New Orleans. Everything else is drawn, scanned, then combined, and colored in photoshop. Then the seperations in photoshop and high contrast greyscale tiffs are sent to the printer, one for each color.
The Dandy Warhols website!
